Before moving to Oregon my husband and I regularly participated in urban mushing events using scooters and dry-land carts. Now, we are only a short drive to snow!

In addition to being a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy, I am also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and hold memberships in several organizations which promote better training methods for dogs and their people, such as the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and the Animal Behavior Society (ABC).
I am a volunteer trainer for Freedom Dogs, a non-profit organization providing specialty service dogs to military veterans.
I am also a licenced presenter for Doggone Safe, a non-profit organization dedicated to Dog Bite Prevention for children through education. For information regarding having this presentation at your elementary school (the presentation is a community service and is free of charge), please send me an email at chris@bendlovesdogs.com
I believe that the vast majority of behavior problems that occur between our dogs and ourselves lies in that gap between what is normal canine behavior and our human expectation of them.
My goal in life is to bridge that gap!
